Here are my top tips to help you maximize form to get the most out of your core workout:
1. Engage your core - during the exercise contract your abs as if you were laughing, squeezing them in tighter.
2. When lying on your back, act as if there is a string pulling your belly button into your spine. Press that area of your back into the floor.
3. While on your back, keep your shoulders slightly lifted while keeping your chin away from your chest. In other words, do not keep your chin tucked into your chest, release it into a neutral spine.
4. When in the plank position (either high or low) tuck your hips slightly under, hold in your abs as if you were laughing, squeeze your inner thighs and keep your head, neck and spine in a neutral position (meaning your back should neither be curved upwards or downwards).
