In the mean time I try to come up with fun ways to stay in shape and switch things up all from the comforts of my home. I recently received my Insanity certification, and have loved doing the at home program as well. I love this max interval program, it allows for the highest calorie burn possible and gives me a total body workout. As I have also said previously, I do like to mix up my routine. So each week I like to add in a run (or two) and a good hour to two hour bike ride. Some, days I even make up my own routine when I am really thinking outside the box. What do I love most about my at home workouts? They used little to NO EQUIPMENT!!!! Yay! I am so happy to have found a solution to my fitness gym blues. Working out at home allows me to have more time with my family, and most of the time it involves them too. I truly think A healthy family is a happy family (lots of endorhins being released!)
I created this agility ladder warm up video while playing chalk with my son (hey I am always looking for ways to fit in a little calorie burn here or there). He loved watching me and even tried it out for himself. So the next time you are out playing with chalk, make a game out of it, have fun and stay active.
