Some say it comes down to genetics, which it may... But a lot of women in my family (my mom included) have really noticeable stretch marks. Things that I have found combat your genetics when it comes to skin quality are proper hydration and blood circulation.
I want to share with you all a tip to help with circulation - DRY BRUSHING. I started doing this before second pregnancy as I noticed I was ALWAYS freezing!
Dry brushing helps with circulation throughout your body which helps you stay warmer and get rid of dead skin by brushing it away.
It has also been shown to help lower your chances of getting stretch marks (also helps with the pregnant itchy belly) and reduce stretch marks if you already have them.
Not to mention it feels good and gives me a busty of energy!
After dry brushing and taking a warm shower, I moisturize my skin with coconut oil. Let it soak into your skin before dressing. I promise, it's not greasy and it does evaporate. I noticed that with other lotions my skin was not as soft and smooth and if I sweat... Forget about it, the lotion just rubbed right off. Coconut oil gets the job done and while pregnant also helped prevent the itchy belly.
I continue to do this routine once a day and have no stretch marks and the skin around my tummy is getting tighter by the day.
Hope this helped you! Let me know if you have any questions about it.
